Dr. Logan Sherman, Parker University alum, wins the 2015 Dallas Marathon

Dr. Logan Sherman, Parker University Graduate (2013), is the winner of the 2015 Dallas Marathon. Dr. Sherman completed the marathon with a time of 2:27:28, which wasn’t his best, but was all he needed. Sherman finished more than 16 minutes ahead of the runner-up. After the race, Sherman said, “I’ve trained 15 years for this. Every day has had a purpose. It’s always led toward the Dallas Marathon…To cross the line first…This has been my dream. This trumps everything.”

Dr. Sherman is a lifelong resident of Dallas and is no stranger to long distance running. He competed in cross-country and track and field at JJ Pearce High School and was a member of the Texas A&M varsity track team. While attending Parker University Logan was an excellent student/athlete. Sherman served as class president while focusing his studies on biomechanics and functional neurology and participated in the rotations at the Dallas Veterans Hospital. Sherman also found time during his studies to take part in the annual Chiro Games. He won the 5K every year he participated, 2009-212 and was the anchor of the10-Mile relay team. Sherman also served captain of the team in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Having accomplished so much at Parker, Dr. Sherman graduated with honors in August, 2013 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.

Dr. Sherman now has two practices in the Dallas area. Sherman Sport & Spine is where Sherman has the privilege of working on both collegiate and professional athletes that compete in track, cross-country, swimming, cycling, triathlons, dance and martial arts.
